Live/Wire are rated the best AC/DC tribute show in the UK. Their stupendous performance at ICONS FESTIVAL 2019 leaves us to emphatically conclude that Live/Wire are bigger than that. The universe is theirs: these guys can truly play!! This was absolute high voltage, high energy rock and roll. Astonishing musicianship abounding in credible mimicry and charisma: this act is pure theatre, grabbing and holding the attention and participation of a thrilled audience.

Podge Blacksmith, a Brian Johnson doppelgänger, gives a vocal masterclass which is unparalleled and brings the show bang up to date with more classic tracks right up to AC/DC’s hugely successful recent album, Rock or Bust.
The thundering freight train of a rhythm section keeps it all meticulously together with Dan as the metronomic Malcolm Young on rhythm guitar. Ed is the mercurial Cliff Williams on bass guitar. Paul behind the kit is Phil Rudd and Chris Slade rolled into one.
Freedom of the stage and the music is commanded by Simon as Angus Young. He delivers a virtuoso, uncanny and endearing performance with meticulous detail in musical skill, appearance, and energy. Simon honed his craft over many years and is a veritable LiveWire during this epic show.
